The Florida Tech FL-404 Fake Money Detector Machine uses multiple detection technologies to identify counterfeit banknotes accurately. Instead of relying on a single verification method, the system combines four verification layers:

Ultraviolet (UV) Detection

The machine features 365nm ultraviolet light, specifically designed to reveal fluorescent security threads and markings embedded in legitimate currency. Genuine banknotes often contain UV-reactive fibers and strips that glow under ultraviolet light, while counterfeit notes typically fail to replicate these features accurately.
